About the event

White Water was first formed in 1976 as Revolver. Soon after playing their very first

show at a Battle of the Bands fundraiser for a northern Nevada food pantry, the band

changed their name to White Water. This started a long tradition of improving their

community by using their music to bring people together, supporting nonprofit and

government organizations! Original members Michael Kelley, lead vocals & bass guitar

and Mike Biselli, drums have been playing music together since the late 1970s. The

band played at all the best venues in northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe, and northern Cali-

fornia. White Water was the first band to record at the newly opened Granny's House

Recording Studio, releasing their EP in 1986.The band rereleased the album on CD in

2017 at the White Water 30th Anniversary and CD release party with all proceeds bene-

fitting the Children's Cabinet. In 2018, the band added Tim Patterson, vocalist & key-

board player and in 2020, guitar player & vocalist Bryan Shaddix came on board to

complete the lineup. The band is very fortunate to have longtime northern Nevada

sound engineer Will Finn as a member of the band, always guaranteeing a great sound!

The combination of three very talented singers gives White Water the unique distinction

of so many different genres of music and producing incredible vocal harmonies! These

musicians have been playing at local and national venues for years, this is evident in

the quality of their musicianship as well as the Band's professionalism! White Water

plays a variety of music with something to please even the most discerning ears!

White Water has opened for BJ Thomas and Cold Blood and have also headlined many

concerts. The band has been recognized by the State of Nevada Governor's Office as

well as receiving a Commendation from the Sparks City Council for their work with non-

profit agencies as well as organizing fundraisers for Veteran's, Secret Witness, "For the

Love of Lisa" and the Children's Cabinet to name a few. In 2021 and 2022, the Band or-

ganized and played for several fundraisers for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In 2022

the Band also played for the community they love... the City of Sparks, at "Music at the

Marina" playing in August and September at the one of the region's favorite parks

White Water looks forward to returning to the Sparks Marina this June!
